Ctrl 1 : 20 sec of not optimizing compass direction during downhill
Ctrl 3: 20 sec crossing the path too early (corrected this mistake fast)
Ctrl 6: 20 sec Went too low
Ctrl 7 1min 30 sec parallel mistake: went down reentrance 50m too early
Ctrl 9 15 sec too high
Ctrl 14 15 sec compass direction too far to the right
Ctrl16 20 sec not sure of the features stopped several times
Ctrl 17 20 sec set compass direction un purpose too to the right to hit the stream ( straight direction was much faster)

typical for the province Luxemburg forest with ague vegetation ,vague features ,vague forest paths, vague contours (but don't get me wrong the map was 100% correct)

had to turn down the speed to keep compass direction right ,

lost time due to heistations

Was tired before this race , HR didn't went up .
at the end I could increase the runningspeed a bit


Didnt take the discription holder , so practice for relays, flipping the map constantly checking for numbers,

biggest mistakes

11 20 sec to far to the left ( bad attackpoint)
13 25 sec going around and missing the woodstock
20 30 sec Wrong route choise
27 15 sec to far

Control nr 2 lost 1'20sec , distracted by a lot of other runners who went left
control 10 , too much to the right 10sec
Control 17 not seeining the control 10sec


good physical feeling , orienteering ok with the exception of control nr 2 :-)

Good race no big mistakes,

control 2 : 15 sec missed crossing paths
control 13 stuck in the green

In the end Mats De Smul in sight, butcould never really overtake him.
He accelerated and nailed the controls at the end.

was physically exhausted which made me go down on the ground 2 times

not my best legs ( HR avg 158 )
no big mistakes but didn't found the flow today

time loss due to (little) mistakes (4minutes in total)

4=15 sec
10=30 sec ( losing compass direction)
14=50 sec ( just passing the control)
15 =20 sec ( hesitating)
19= 15 sec
20 =15 sec
22 =10 sec
